Cougar Tennis Falls To Florida State
HOUSTON - The University of Houston women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to No. 35 Florida State on Wednesday afternoon at the UH Varsity Tennis Courts.

HOUSTON - The University of Houston women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to No. 35 Florida State on Wednesday afternoon at the UH Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Cougars received victories in singles play from junior Galina Seliounina (6-0, 6-1) and Sarah Borwell (6-3, 1-6, 6-3). For Seliounina, it was her fourth-straight victory in singles and her first this season at number one singles.
Trailing 4-2 after singles play, UH needed to sweep doubles to pull out the victory. The team of Borwell and Seliounina as well as the tandem of senior Sarah Bolle and sophomore Joanna Cunliffe triumphed to tie the score at 4-4, but in the decisive match, the Cougars fell short, 8-5.
UH (4-5) next plays on Friday, Mar. 12 at 2 p.m. against North Carolina at the UH Varsity Tennis Courts.
