Denton Walker is the only senior on the UH golf team after competing in four tournaments in 2002-03 and was elected by his teammates as the team captain of this year's squad. In the Waikoloa Intercollegiate in Kona, Hawaii Walker was the only Cougar to better his score every round, while finishing tied for 94th place. Before attending the University of Houston he attended the University of Texas from 1999 to 2002 where he was coached by John Fields and was a member of the Big XII Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Lettered at St. John's High School in Houston for head coach Mike Maggart... Honored as an All-Conference selection and was named Team Most Valuable Player.... Received academic attention as a National Merit Finalist.
