One of the original six seniors for the University of Houston softball team, Johnson continues to be a solid contributor for the Cougars. Through the first three weeks of the 2004 season Johnson has been Houston's ace pitcher with a 0.63 ERA in 44.1 innings, while tallying 33 strike outs.
2003: Johnson finished with a 12-7 record and a team best .632 winning percentage in 127 innings while leading the Cougars with 129 strike outs, 38 looking. Made 33 appearances, 19 starts, 14 in relief...pitched seven innings giving up five hits and striking out 10 against Southwest Texas, She also hit a two-run home run in her only plate appearance of the season against Texas Southern.
Johnson, the daughter of Steve and Doris Johnson is majoring in biology. Her sister Brooke is also a member of the Cougar softball team.
