Pete Heim joined the University of Houston Athletics Department as associate athletics director for ticket sales & operations in May 2016.
Heim joins Houston after 16 months as the University of Alabama's Director of Ticketing. During his tenure at Tuscaloosa, he was responsible for the accounting and allocating of tickets for both the 100,000-seat Bryant-Denny Stadium and the 15,000-seat Coleman Coliseum while overseeing the ticket office operations with an annual gross sales of $40 million.
Heim, who is a native of Colonie, N.Y., coordinated ticket sales for Alabama's run in the 2015 SEC Championship and the College Football Playoff as part of his oversight of game-day ticket office operations for seven athletics programs.
Prior to his time with Alabama, Heim spent six years as assistant director of ticket operations at Duke, where his implementation of general and donor-based ticketing for football resulted in a 30 percent increase of sales.
Heim -- whose name is pronounced Hime -- also spent one year as senior ticket sales assistant at Tennessee after receiving his start as a graduate assistant in ticketing, marketing and promotions at the University of Albany.
He earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Management from the State University of New York College at Cortland in 2004 and received his master's degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Albany in 2007.
Heim and his wife, Cyndi, live in Houston.
