Meshu Negga was elevated to director of operations for the Men's Basketball program in June 2017.
In that role, he assists the coaching staff with administrative duties and works closely with Head Coach Kelvin Sampson and the coaching staff on team scheduling, travel, budgeting and general operations.
Negga joined the Cougars as its associate director of operations in April 2014. However, he is no stranger to the University of Houston. As an undergraduate, he worked in a variety of roles for the Athletics Department in Facilities and Operations, Information Technology and the Business Office.
He served for four years in the Business Office as an assistant manager and received his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Houston.
