Kathryn Benda joined the University of Houston Department of Athletics in August 2016 as director for Game Operations and Event Management.
In that role, she serves as the primary contact for Men's Basketball and Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field and assists with all aspects of Football game day.
Before coming to Houston, Benda served for nearly three years as game/event coordinator at Auburn. She worked as the game manager for Football, Men's Basketball, Volleyball, Track and Field and Men's Golf and was the command post event manager at Jordan-Hare Stadium for all home football games.
In 2013, Benda was an Athletics Facilities and Event Operations assistant and was an Event Management intern at LSU from 2012 to 2013.
Benda, who is a Little Rock, Ark., native, received her bachelor's degree in sport administration -- sport commerce and leadership from LSU in 2013, and is working to receive her master's degree in public administration from Auburn in 2017.
