Daniel Foster joined the University of Houston Department of Athletics in December 2014 as assistant director for marketing and promotions. In that role, he coordinates fans' game-day day experience for Football, Women's Basketball and Softball games and oversees the licensing program.
Foster joined the Cougars after working as a marketing and license assistant at Arkansas during the 2013-14 season. There, he served as the marketing and event production contact for Men's Basketball, Volleyball, Gymnastics and spring Football.
He helped generate the second-highest Volleyball season average attendance and was responsible for the second-largest crowd in Softball history.
As an assistant supervisor for marketing with Texas Athletics in 2011-12, Foster was one of three full-time marketing contacts for all varsity sports. He coordinated social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and oversaw campus outreach efforts to students, faculty and staff.
In 2010-11, Foster served as a marketing assistant at Florida, where he created and implemented marketing, promotional and advertising for eight sports and planned and managed special events.
He entered the professional ranks as a graduate assistant for Ohio State Athletics Fan Experience and Promotions in 2009-10. Foster implemented promotional plans for Men's Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Tennis and Women's Lacrosse.
Foster, who is a native of Goldthwaite, Texas, received his bachelor's degree in kinesiology with high honors from Texas in 2009 and earned his master's degree in sport management from Ohio State in 2010.
