Celena Flores joined the University of Houston Athletics Department in September 2009 as special events coordinator with the Development Office.
In that role, she oversees a variety of Athletics Department special events, including Football gameday tailgate preparation, ceremonies, reunions, donor luncheons/receptions, annual scholarship dinners, football banquets, and related events.
Flores, who is a Houston native, plans and manages the Dominique Sachse "H" Association Golf Classic and Football Golf Classic, a pair of major fundraisers which hosts more than 250 participants at each annually.
Before joining the Athletics Department, Flores worked for UH in various roles. She served as an intern in the Center for Student Involvement and the Dean of Students' Office in 2013.
Flores graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with her bachelor's degree in communications in 2008 and received her master's degree in administration and supervision from UH in 2014.
