What is Shasta's Reading Program?• Shasta's Reading Program was created to get Houston area students primarily in the 8th grade or under excited and more engaged in reading. The Reading Program rewards students who read seven (7) books. Once a student has read a book, they mark it on their bookmark, get a parent, guardian or teacher to sign off on it, and they are on their way to enjoying free University of Houston Basketball games!

How does my student redeem their bookmark for a free ticket to a UH athletics event?
MEN's & WOMEN's BASKETBALL
• Bring your child to the TSU H&PE Arena box office day of game, 90 minutes or less prior to tip-off, and exchange their completely filled out bookmark for a free general admission ticket to the game based on availability. A complete list of games available games will be posted here by Nov. 1, 2018

• Yes, really. It is that simple. Have your student read seven (7) books, sign the bookmark and bring it to the TSU Arena box office, and they will receive a free general admission ticket to the game.
BASEBALL
• Bring your child to the Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park box office day of game, 60 minutes or less prior to first pitch and exchange their completely filled out bookmark for a free general admission ticket to the game based on availability. A complete list of games available games will be posted here by Jan. 1, 2019.

SOFTBALL
• Bring your child to the Cougar Softball Stadium box office day of game, 60 minutes or less prior to first pitch and exchange their completely filled out bookmark for a free general admission ticket to the game based on availability. Can I submit the bookmark in advance of a game?
• Yes, you can submit a bookmark in advance at the TDECU Stadium Ticket Office, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Can I purchase extra tickets to the game?
• Absolutely! Simply purchase a ticket at the time you and your student submit the bookmark at the TDECU Stadium Ticket Office.

Where can I park to come and watch the game?
• Fans can park at the Texas Southern University West Parking Garage for $5, or they can choose to park in Lot 12B at TDECU Stadium and ride the campus shuttle that starts 90 minutes prior to tip-off from the Gate 3 area of TDECU Stadium. Click here to see a map.
