Cory Houston Elevated to Director of Olympic Sports Performance

HOUSTON – Cory Houston, who has spent more than three years working with the Houston Baseball and Women's Golf programs as its Coordinator of Sports Performance, was named Director for Sports Performance of Olympic Sports.
In his new role, Houston (pronounced House-ton) will oversee the sport performance programming, implementation, research and education for all Olympic sports while also continuing to serve as the Cougar Baseball and Women's Golf program's. Houston will oversee the intern program for the strength and performance department while also helping lead and develop the current sport performance staff.
Houston, who has vast knowledge of cutting edge technology, research, and techniques within the sport performance sector, will continue to grow and elevate Cougar athletic performance to the highest level of collegiate athletics.
During his time with the Cougar baseball team, Houston helped train Antoine Jean back following Tommy John surgery into winning Big 12 Pitcher of the Year and All-Big 12 First-Team recognition as a reliever in 2025 and Cary Arbolida from a platoon outfielder to All-Big 12 Second-Team honors in Houston's first year in 2024.
