Record 55 Cougars Earn Academic All-Big 12 Honors

Houston sees 25% increase in fall Academic All-Big 12 recognitions
HOUSTON – Following a sixth consecutive semester with a department 3.0 GPA, a fall-term school record 55 Houston Cougars earned Academic All-Big 12 Conference honors, the league announced Thursday.
The 55 Academic All-Big 12 selections represented a 25% increase year over year. Additionally, 103 Cougars were named to the Big 12 Honor Roll, continuing a strong academic showing in Houston's third fall semester as a member of the league.
Football paced the department with 22 Academic All-Big 12 honors while soccer and cross country each had 12 selections and volleyball accounted for nine.
Houston has increased its Academic All-Big 12 fall honorees each of the three years it has been in the Big 12. The 55 Academic All-Big 12 selections are the most by Houston for any Big 12 academic season – fall, winter, or spring – surpassing the Spring 2024 total of 52 selections.
