Jamar Marshall Jr. collects first Big 12 Weekly honor of the season
HOUSTON – Graduate hurdler Jamar Marshall Jr. was named the Big 12 Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
The hurdler opened the season by winning the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.71 at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational on Saturday. His time ranks first in the Big 12 and fourth in the NCAA this season.
Marshall Jr. earned his first career Big 12 Weekly honor and the fourth in program history, joining junior Antrea Mita, KeAyla Dove and De'Vion Wilson.
