Hinchliffe Named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team

Louie Hinchliffe earns CSC Academic All-America Second Team honors
HOUSTON – After winning an NCAA Championship and qualifying for the Olympic Games, University of Houston Track & Field's Louie Hinchliffe continues to add to his resume as he was named to College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second Team, the organization announced Wednesday. Hinchliffe is now the fourth Cougar in program history and second on the men's side to earn CSC Academic All-America honors. He joins Jolanda Jones (1987, 1989), Brian Barraza (2017, 2018) and Kelly-Ann Beckford (2024).
Majoring in integrated studies, Hinchliffe concluded his sophomore season by winning Houston's seventh NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships 100-meter dash title on June 7 as he recorded a personal best time of 9.95 seconds in Eugene, Ore. In addition to winning the national title, Hinchliffe ran the second leg of Houston's 4x100-meter relay as the team took Bronze at the NCAA Championships.
The Sheffield, England, native continued his success across the pond, winning the 100-meter title at the UK Athletics Championships in Manchester in late June to secure his place on Team Great Britain at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
