Antrea Mita sets personal best 2.20m in Greece
HOUSTON – University of Houston Track & Field rising sophomore Antrea Mita recorded a personal best to win the high jump on Sunday at the Greek Championships at Panthessaliko Stadium in Volos, Greece.
Â
Mita set a personal best in the event with a jump of 2.20m (7' 2.50") to win the event for a second consecutive year. At the 2023 Greek Championships, Mita won with a then personal best 2.19m for his first National Outdoor title.
Â
Mita, who has not set the Olympic standard in the event, will have to wait for the official Olympic rosters to be named to see if he will be headed to Paris. This will be determined by the World Athletics rankings.
Â
Mita will represent Greece at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru, Aug. 27-31.
