
Wilson Earns Silver Medal at 2023 Pan American Games

Senior De’Vion Wilson captures second place in 110m-hurdles
SANTIAGO, Chile – University of Houston Track and Field senior hurdler De'Vion Wilson took second place in the 110-meter hurdles for Team USA on Wednesday at the Pan American Games.
Wilson clocked a 13.78 to earn Team USA's first silver medal of the evening. Brazil's Eduardo Rodrigues (13.67) and Rafael Henrique Campos (14.04) placed first and third, respectively.
During the 2023 season, Wilson was the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships runner-up, coming up just 0.02 seconds short of the 110-meter hurdle championship. The senior earned All-American First Team honors and set the school record in the event at 13.37 to cement his spot in the finals.
