
Dell, Tune Among All-Texas Preseason Honorees

Seven Cougars represented on Dave Campbell’s All-Texas squad
HOUSTON – Houston senior quarterback Clayton Tune and junior wide receiver Nathaniel Dell have been recognized as the best in Texas at their respective positions as Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine revealed its 2022 Preseason All-Texas College teams on Tuesday.
Seven Houston student-athletes were named to the All-Texas team, trailing only Texas A&M who led the Lone Star State with eight. Houston's preseason First-Team honorees included Tune, Dell, sophomore offensive lineman Patrick Paul and senior defensive back Gervarrius Owens.
Three Cougars appeared on the Second Team including senior tight end Christian Trahan, senior defensive lineman Derek Parish and senior linebacker Donavan Mutin.
The honorees are featured in the 2022 summer preview edition of Dave Campbell's Texas Football which offers high praise for the Cougars. The publication touts Houston as the preseason favorites in the American Athletic Conference.
