Five Cougars earn All-American honors
EUGENE, Ore. – The Houston men's track and field team concluded its 2021-2022 season with seven All-American honors on Friday evening at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field.
A team of Jordan Booker, Dylan Brown, Edward Sumler IV and Shaun Maswanganyi clocked a season-best 38.64 in the men's 4x100-meter relay for a third-place finish. All four athletes earned First-Team All-American honors in the event.
Maswanganyi added two All-American honors with a sixth-place finish in the men's 200-meter with a 20.51 time as well as a ninth-place finish in the men's 100-meter with a 10.26.
Quivell Jordan-Bacot concluded his Houston career with another All-American honor finishing fifth with a 49.52 in the men's 400-meter hurdles.
