Seniors Claire Meyer and Brandon Seagreaves have led Houston every meet this season, crossing the finish line at the Chile Pepper Festival in Arkansas two weeks ago first for the Cougars.
Meyer's 17th place overall finish helped the Cougars finish 16th overall in a field of 31 teams. Seagreaves' 64th overall finish helped the men place 23rd overall in a field of 33.
Sophomore Branch Cox posted a solid time at the Chile Pepper Festival, finishing four seconds behind Seagreaves, as the Amarillo native will look to build on a fast time before the conference meet.
The meet will be a good gauge for the Cougars who will see Tulane and SMU at the meet before toeing the starting line at the conference championships Oct. 29 in Tulsa, Okla.
