“Inside Cougar Athletics” Debuts Thursday

30-minute program to air on AT&TSportsNet Southwest
HOUSTON – In conjunction with the start of the 2021-22 athletic season, Houston Athletics and AT&T SportsNet Southwest have teamed up to launch "Inside Cougar Athletics," a 30-minute television program that will spotlight all 17 Cougar athletics programs throughout the year. Houston Cougar fans will receive regular updates, news and an inside look at the latest happenings surrounding Houston Athletics and its student-athletes, coaches and staff.
"The new show format of "Inside Cougar Athletics" will allow our department to share the amazing stories of our student-athletes while keeping our loyal fans informed and connected with our programs throughout the entire year," Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman said.
The first episode will debut this Thursday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. on AT&TSportsNet and will be hosted by longtime Houston media personality Jeremy Branham. "Inside Cougar Athletics" will air every other Thursday at 6 p.m. (subject to programming conflicts).
The series debut will feature a sit-down with Houston Soccer senior Zionah Browne, a conversation with Houston Football color analyst Ted Pardee, a preview of the Texas Kickoff football game against Texas Tech at NRG Stadium (Sept. 4), a look at the upcoming Houston Athletics "2021 Hall of Honor Gala," and much more.
The newly formatted show will replace previous football, basketball, and baseball-specific programing that ran on the network through the completion of the spring competition season. "Inside Cougar Athletics" will air year-round, keeping Cougar fans and AT&T SportsNet viewers connected to Houston Athletics.
