Houston Remains Strong in the USTFCCCA Rankings

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program continues to have both its men's and women's teams ranked among the top-30 in the NCAA following a strong weekend of performances at the Texas A&M Invitational. The Houston men sit at No. 17 and the Houston women at No. 26 in the latest USTFCCCA poll.

The Cougar men dropped six spots to No. 17 after sending a group of individuals to College Station for two days of meet action last weekend. Houston holds eight marks that rank among the top-32 in the NCAA this season, including the NCAA-leading time in the 4x100-meter relay.

On the women's side, Houston sits just outside the top-25 at No. 26 in the USTFCCCA Poll. The Cougar women have recorded 11 performances this season that sit among the top-32 in the NCAA. This past weekend both Nora Monie and Mikaila Martin secured program record and facility record throws at the Texas A&M Invitational. Monie's mark of 56.50m (185-5) in the discus ranks 11^th in the NCAA this season as Martin's throw of 66.71m (218-10) in the Hammer Throw sits at No. 7 among collegians this season. Taylor Scaife secured a personal-best in the Hammer Throw in College Station, earning the 25^th farthest throw this season in the NCAA at 64.00m (210-0).
Houston will return to action on April 16-17 in Baton Rouge at the Boots Garland Invitational hosted by LSU.

HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Limited tickets for Houston Track & Field will now be sold on a single-game, general admission basis while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to act quickly and purchase advanced single-game tickets prior to their arrival on campus due to limited availability.

All facilities and related spring sporting events will operate at 25 percent capacity of available seating throughout the remainder of the 2021 season.

For fans wishing to attend any of these home events this spring, an exclusive pre-sale ticket offer will be made available to existing season ticket holders and donors prior to the general public on-sale which begins on Monday, March 15 at 9 a.m. CT.
