
Frances Continues to Lead Houston at Aggie Invitational

Senior tied for second at 3-under 141 entering Sunday’s Final Round
BRYAN, Texas – University of Houston senior Alexander Frances continued to lead the Cougars and stood in second at 3-under 141 following the Second Round of the Aggie Invitational at Traditions Club on Saturday afternoon.
Frances posted a 74 on Saturday on the 7,227-yard, par-72 course to lead the Cougars. He stood three strokes behind Texas A&M's Sam Bennett, who held the individual lead at 138 and was tied with Texas' Pierceson Coody.
As a team, the Cougars were tied for seventh with North Texas at 598 after posting a total of 303 on Saturday.
Senior Andrew Gibson was tied for 34th at 149, while senior Matt Cole was tied for 48th at 152. Senior Luke Long and sophomore Austyn Reily were tied for 64th at 156.
No. 5 Texas held the second-day lead at 575 with No. 1 Oklahoma (578), No. 12 Texas A&M (582), No. 36 Baylor (585), No. 25 Texas Tech (586) and No. 30 Louisville (586) rounding out the Top-Six leaders. Following Houston, North Texas (598), Nebraska (599) and Kansas (600) completed the Top 10.
Oklahoma's Garett Reband, Baylor's Luke Dossey and Louisville's Max Kennedy were tied for fourth at 142.
The tournament concludes with the Final Round beginning Sunday morning.
