FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Houston senior Annie Kim finished with a three-day score of 217 to lead the Cougars and tie for fourth at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Wednesday.

Competing on the 6,455-yard, par-72 course at Blessings Golf Club, Kim posted a 75 in the Final Round on the way to the best finish of her collegiate career, topping her 18^th-place showing at the Mason Rudolph Championship on Sept. 21-22, 2018.

As a team, the Cougars posted a score of 909 to finish eighth against an elite field. Host Arkansas captured the team title with a score of 855 to finish 19 shots ahead of UCLA.

Texas Tech (881), Arizona (889), Mississippi (902), Louisville (906) and Illinois (906) rounded out the Top Seven with North Carolina (916) and Tennessee (928) completing the Top 10.

Sophomore Delaney Martin finished 25^th with a score of 227. Junior Karen Fredgaard lowered her score for the second straight day and tied for 30^th at 229. Senior Maria Jose Martinez finished 48^th at 241, while senior Ariana Saenz finished 50^th at 244.

Arkansas' Brooke Matthews finished at 4-under 212 to earn medalist honors and was the only competitor to finish below par. Teammate Cory Lopez and UCLA's Alessia Nobilio tied for second at 216, while Kim joined Kajal Mistry (Arkansas), Gala Dumez (Texas Tech), Linyu (Anna) Dong (Texas Tech) and Ty Akabane (UCLA) in the group at 217.

UP NEXT
Following the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, the Cougars close out their fall schedule when they competes at the Jim West Challenge on Oct. 17-18 at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas.

From there, Houston will take its winter break before opening the spring season at the UCF Challenge on Feb. 6-8 at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando.
