Update on Sept. 3 Game Against Rice

Both universities will look to reschedule game, if possible
HOUSTON – Houston football's season opener against Rice will not take place on Sept. 3, it was announced Monday.
Both schools are in discussions to reschedule the game at a later date during the 2020 season.
"Throughout this process, our program has maintained an open line of communication with Rice Athletics Director Joe Karlgaard regarding our scheduled game for Sept. 3," Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman said. "We hope to reschedule our matchup with Rice at some point during the 2020 season and continuing our series with Rice in years to come."
The Cougars are now scheduled to begin their 2020 season on the road at Memphis on Sept. 19. For more information, on Houston's 2020 schedule, click here.
