Three Cougars Tabbed As Most Outstanding Performers

Travis Collins, Naomi Taylor and Taylor Scaife earn distinction
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program continues to earn postseason accolades as Naomi Taylor, Travis Collins and Taylor Scaife are tabbed as American Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Most Outstanding Performers.

Less than a week from their second consecutive sweep of The American Indoor Track & Field Championships, Travis Collins is named the league's Men's Indoor Track Most Outstanding Performer for his performance in the 60-meter dash. Collins clocked a time of 6.61, the tenth fastest time in the NCAA this season and fifth-fastest time in program history for first-place in the event.

Naomi Taylor was named the Women's Indoor Track Most Outstanding Performer for her meet record-setting performance in the 60-meter hurdles. Taylor shattered her own meet record that she set just a year ago, clocking a season-best 8.03 for her second consecutive indoor title in the 60-meter hurdles. The time is currently the seventh fastest in the NCAA this season.

Taylor Scaife continues to have a stellar senior campaign being named the Women's Indoor Field Most Outstanding Performance. Scaife earned her second consecutive conference title in the weight throw with a toss of 22.75, shattering the meet record.
