Houston Announces 2020 Outdoor Schedule

#HTownSpeedCity hosts three meets at the Carl Lewis Complex
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field team is happy to announce its 2020 Outdoor schedule that is highlight by three meets inside the Carl Lewis International Complex.

Houston opens its outdoor slate at home when it hosts the Houston Twilight Opener on March 19 before traveling to the Prairie View Relays and the TSU Relays taking place March 20-21. The Cougars will remain in Texas for the remainder of the month as the squad travels to Austin for the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays fromMarch 25-28, followed by the Victor Lopez Classic at Rice March 27-28.

The Cougars return home on April 4 for the Houston Alumni Invitational, followed by the Texas A&M Invitational from April 10-11 in College Station. Houston will travel to California for the Mt. Sac Relays that will take place April 16-18, before splitting up the squad for the Penn Relays and Drake Relays from April 23-25. The Cougars will send a group of student-athletes across town for the J. Fred Duckett Twilight at Rice on April 25 to close out the month of April.

Houston will return home to the Carl Lewis Stadium for one final tune-up before the postseason when it hosts the Tom Tellez Invitational on May 1. The 2020 American Athletic Conference Championships are slated for May 15-17 in Tampa, Fla. Houston looks to have continued postseason success when it heads to the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds in Lawrence, Kan. May 28-30, followed by the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas June 10-13.

Houston Track & Field athletes will look to qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo later this year when the USA Olympic Trials take place in Eugene, Oregon June 19-28, followed by the Olympic Games July 24- Aug. 9.
