HOUSTON -- With the 2019 Houston Football season right around the corner, preparations are in full swing for the Cougars' five home games at TDECU Stadium with several new and exciting gameday initiatives and enhanced elements planned for UH fans and guests.
As part of Houston Athletics continual focus on creating the safest and most enjoyable gameday experience; Cougar fans can expect to see and enjoy a number of new pregame and in-game elements starting this Saturday with our home opener against Prairie View A&M.
ELEVATE YOUR TAILGATE
For the second straight season, Houston Football fans can enjoy pregame fun in the RedZone Tailgate for all Saturday home games inside the Indoor Practice Facility that is conveniently located right next to TDECU Stadium.
RedZone Tailgate opens three hours prior to kickoff and tickets can be purchased on-line in advance for $5 and $10 on day of game at the doors.
All Houston Football season ticket holders receive special access into the RedZone Tailgate as part of our membership benefits plan; and all RedZone Tailgate pass holders enjoy access to a variety of exclusive food menu options along with liquor, wine and a large selection of beer options; as well as non-alcoholic drinks available for purchase by fans of age. A variety of entertainment options also will be available in the RedZone including live music, interactive games and activities for all ages.

Expanded Food Service Offerings
Our guest experience inside TDECU Stadium is a top priority. UH fans and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy enhanced food and beverage services and options from our new concession's provider, Delaware North.
As part of our efforts in expanding our levels of customer service at UH events, this fall guests in designated locations inside TDECU Stadium will enjoy the option to receive in-seat wait service on selected concession items through our new partnership with sEATz.

As Houston Athletics introduced last year with the opening of Fertitta Center, and as we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all our fans and guests, TDECU Stadium will be implementing a clear bag policy and walk-through metal detectors at all home football games beginning this Saturday for the Cougars' home opener against Prairie View A&M.
Items such as backpacks, large purses and diaper bags are not permitted, and fans are strongly encouraged to not bring any bags to the facility. Clear bags may also be purchased at our merchandise locations at TDECU Stadium. For more information visit here.

New Screening Measures
In a continuing effort to improve the fan experience and provide a safer environment for all guests, walk-through magnetometers, a more effective and less intrusive form of screening, have been installed at all entry points of TDECU Stadium.
Guests will not need to remove their shoes, belts, watches or jewelry, as required at airports. Guests will be asked to remove objects from their pockets and place them on a security table prior to walking through the metal detector.

Cougar Walk begins two hours and 10 minutes prior to kickoff at each home game. Fans our invited to see Coach Holgorsen make their entrance into TDECU Stadium.

BEAT THE HOUSTON HEAT
To combat the Texas heat, we're reminding fans to stay hydrated throughout gameday. Fans will be permitted to bring in an empty, clear plastic bottle to replenish for free at our six water monster locations throughout TDECU Stadium. Additionally, cool mist zones will also be in place at designated locations in the stadium to keep UH fans cool during these hot temperatures.

As season ticket holders, fans receive numerous benefits throughout the season, including priority access to postseason tickets, single-game ticket pre-sales and discounts for home games, exclusive offers to the Red Zone, special discounts on selected food, beverages and merchandise at home games in TDECU Stadium and much more.
Fans who purchase 2019 season tickets also will receive tickets for the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff against Washington State on Sept. 13 in their packages.
Coogs One Pass
Responding to demand from fans, University of Houston Athletics has created the Coogs One Pass to provide access to multiple sport programs' home events throughout the 2019-20 season. To bypass the lines, fans can now get a general admission ticket sent to their phone to attend UH events.
With each Coogs One Pass, fans receive one ticket for general admission seating to Houston Athletics events for one low price. Coogs One Passes begin at only $150 for five sport programs' home events with the $375 Red Pass providing entry to all home Football, Men's Basketball (reserved seating), Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer and Volleyball games.

Clear Bag Policy
- In an effort to provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry into the stadium, the University of Houston Athletics Department will implement a clear bag policy for the upcoming football season, and all events inside of TDECU Stadium.
- The UH Clear Bag Policy strictly limits the size and types of bags that are permitted into TDECU Stadium. Items such as backpacks, purses and diaper bags are not permitted. Fans are strongly encouraged not to bring any bags; however, the following will be permitted:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12". One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
- A small clutch purse no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle or strap. These small clutches are subject to search.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the gate by arena personnel.
