Athletics Enters Partnership with Oak View Group Facilities

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Athletics Department on Monday announced an extensive new partnership with Oak View Group Facilities, a global firm and specialist in providing premium services and content and streamlining venue operations for its clients.
Oak View Group will immediately begin overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations and services for all Houston Athletics facilities; including special event support by sourcing new content and programming opportunities to be hosted at Houston Athletics facilities; food and beverage operations and services through an affiliation with Delaware North and custodial services through a partnership with Houston-based Metroclean.
"Oak View Group and its partners are recognized industry leaders. As we continue to enhance the gameday experience for our fans, these were the kinds of partners for which we were looking. We look forward to working with Oak View Group, Delaware North and Metroclean to provide unique, professional and best-in-class gameday environments at our University of Houston Athletics events and facilities," Houston Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman said. "With substantial investments in all our facilities, we continue to explore new revenue streams for our department. Oak View Group will support our on-going efforts to host new special events at our premier facilities, including TDECU Stadium and Fertitta Center, and that's why this partnership is good for Houston Athletics."
Oak View Group Facilities has a successful history in delivering new event content and programming opportunities for its many clients; including Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky., and the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Neb.

The University of Houston joins OVG's roster of college properties which also include University of Texas in Austin, Texas; University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla.; Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, Penn; the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Baltimore, Md.; and Robert Morris University in Moon, Pa.

Oak View Group Facilities has a similar relationship with Delaware North at three under-construction new arenas including Savannah, Ga.; Belmont, N.Y.; and Seattle, Wash.

Delaware North manages and provides food and beverage concessions, premium dining, catering, entertainment, lodging, and retail at many large venues and special places. These include sports stadiums, entertainment complexes, national and state parks, airports, and casinos.
Metroclean has been providing quality commercial cleaning services throughout Houston and surrounding areas for nearly 30 years. Headquartered in Houston, the company services commercial, educational, industrial and healthcare facilities throughout the Greater Houston area. As one of the largest privately-owned facility services companies in Houston, Metroclean has had a partnership with the University of Houston-Main Campus for nearly 10 years. In an effort to grow, strengthen and continue its partnership with the University, Metroclean adds on custodial, event support and floor maintenance responsibilities for the Athletic Department's facilities as part of the University's new agreement with Oak View Group.

Oak View Group Facilities can also provide full management services for arenas, stadiums, convention centers and performing arts centers.
Oak View Group will activate its other global divisions to help deliver unprecedented services, support and results in Houston. the Arena Alliance's resources will offer an extension to new content and programming opportunities to which the University of Houston previously did not have in place. The University of Houston can lean on Oak View Group's Arena Alliance to gain insight on best industry practices, tools and resources to maximize existing and new revenue streams while operating its department and related facilities more efficiently and effectively. Currently, (28) of North America's top performing arenas, (15) National Basketball Association teams, and (18) National Hockey League teams comprise Oak View Group's Arena Alliance.
