
Roy Added to Ray Guy Award Watch List

HOUSTON -- University of Houston Football senior punter Dane Roy has been named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List, it was announced Friday.
Roy ranked second in The American with 22 punts downed inside his opponents' 20-yard line last season and forced 24 fair catches. He helped Houston rank second in The American with an average of 8.4 yards per return given up.
A former ice cream salesman from Bunyip, Australia, Roy's 42.05 punting average during the 2018 season ranks tenth in UH single-season history.
He is one of four punters from The American recognized on the Ray Guy Award Watch List, joining Navy's Owen White, Tulsa's Thomas Bennett and UConn's Luke Magliozzi. Roy was also selected to the Ray Guy Award Watch List prior to the start of the 2018 season.
