Collins Concludes Aliann Pompey Invitational

Cougar sprinter concludes competition in Guyana
PROVIDENCE, Guyana – Houston Track & Field sprinter Travis Collins closed out the Aliann Pompey Invitational at Lenora Stadium in Guyana on Saturday afternoon.

Fresh off of his first NCAA Championships appearance, Collins hit the track for the 100-meter dash at the fourth annual Aliann Pompey Invitational. The rising junior finished fifth in the prelims of the 100-meter dash invitational with a time of 10.60, advancing to the final of the event. In the final, Collins concluded the race in sixth-place at 10.57.

The Houston Track & Field program will be hosting its first meet of its SpeedCity All-Comers series on Jan. 12 at the Carl Lewis Complex. More information regarding that meet can be found HERE.
