HOUSTON – For the second straight season, University of Houston star Leonie Harm received All-America honors when she was named Honorable Mention by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon.
In 2018-19, Harm led the Cougars to the American Athletic Conference Championships title for the third time in her outstanding career and NCAA Regional play for the fifth straight season.
The Gerlingen, Germany, native posted a team-best 72.20 scoring average to set a school single-season record and owns the Top-Three single-season performances in school history.
Harm opened the spring season with a score of even-par 216 to earn co-medalist honors at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship and added additional tournament individual championships at the ICON Invitational and the American Athletic Conference Championships.
She became the first Cougar in program history to win multiple tournaments in a single season and finished as the Cougars' leader with four tournament crowns during her career.
Harm was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year for the second straight season and became the second student-athlete in program history to compete in four NCAA Regionals during her career.
She competed at the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur in early April, joining 72 amateur athletes at the prestigious event.
