
Houston Completes Day Two of Texas Relays

Jordan and Hawkins secure spots in 400-meter hurdles finals
HOUSTON – The Houston Cougar Men's and Women's Track & Field teams concluded day two of the Texas Relays on Thursday, gearing up for the final two days of the meet.

Quivell Jordan qualified for the finals of the men's 400-meter hurdles with the second-fastest qualifying time of 51.05.
Birexus Hawkins advanced to the finals of the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.32, the fastest time in The American Athletic Conference this season.
Hawa Wague competed in the heptathlon for the first time and jumped into the rankings at No. 5 in The American with 4,704 points.
Meredith Sorensen set a PR in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:05.95 to move to No. 4 in The American this season.
