Houston Track & Field Adds Miller to Staff

David Miller joins track & field staff
HOUSTON– The University of Houston Track & Field program announces the addition of David Miller to its staff.
Â
Most recently Miller served as a weightlifting coach within the CrossFit community both abroad and nationally, specifically in Southern California for the last nine years.
Â
He joins the Houston staff as an Assistant Director of Sports Performance with over 18 years of experience as an international coach for USA Weightlifting. He earned his first coaching certification in 1996. Over the years, Miller has served two international coaching assignments for Team USA.

A Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Coach Miller has been involved with the National Strength & Conditioning Association since 2001 (NSCA), specifically within the special interest groups of Weightlifting and Long-Term Athletic Development.
Â
"David is an accomplished strength coach who has developed and trained athletes for all levels of sport," says Olympic Weightlifting coach Tim Swords. He has one of the best technical eyes for biomechanics in the country and will be a great asset for any program."
Miller lives in Houston with his fiance, Aileen and their dog Gypsy. He has one step-daughter who works in the culinary industry.
