HOUSTON – Thirty-year sports industry veteran Micah Fuller has been named the general manager of the University of Houston's Learfield IMG College Property.
Fuller comes to the University of Houston after serving as the sponsorship and business development lead for the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority. In his role, Fuller will oversee all operational and personnel aspects for Houston's property, while working to develop innovative partnerships with corporate sponsors.
Learfield IMG College is the exclusive athletics multimedia rightsholder for the University of Houston with its local team working side-by-side with the respective athletic administrations fulfilling their comprehensive rights agreements.
"The University of Houston is a world-class university with tremendous academic achievements and athletics tradition," Fuller said. "I am excited to join the team as Learfield IMG College's General Manager for the University of Houston Athletics.
"My goal is to elevate our deep athletic traditions, provide best in class fan engagement and game day experiences for our corporate partners. I want to thank Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman and Deputy Athletics Director David Tagliarino for this incredible opportunity."
Prior to returning to Houston, Fuller spent 11 years as associate athletics director at California Baptist University in Riverside, Calif. During his professional career, he has also served as the senior vice president for Urban Sports & Entertainment Group in charge of development and sponsorships. He also spent eight years with NASCAR's media group as the vice president for sales and programming.
Headquartered in Plano, Texas, the Learfield IMG College has long had the privilege of being an advocate for intercollegiate athletics and the student-athlete experience. Since 2008, it has served as title sponsor for the acclaimed Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup, supporting athletic departments across all divisions.
