FRANKLIN, TENN – University of Houston senior All-American Leonie Harm stood among the Top-10 leaders midway through the Final Round at the Mason Rudolph Championship before rain halted play at Vanderbilt Legends Club.
After opening with a 70 in Friday's First Round, Harm drained three birdies, including two in a three-hole stretch at one point, on the way to a 73 in the morning session. Starting on No. 5 in the afternoon round, the Gerlingen, Germany, native enjoyed a bogey-free effort with a pair of birdies through 11 holes and was tied for eighth at 3-under 143 on the 6,430-yard, par-72 course before play was stopped.
Originally scheduled for 54 holes over three days, tournament officials elected to play 36 holes Saturday due to the threat of severe weather. Teams completed the Second Round and were about halfway through the Final Round before play was suspended around 4:30 p.m., Saturday.
Teams will return to the course at 9 a.m., Sunday, to complete the Final Round.
As a team, the Cougars were tied for 14th with Charlotte at +28. Host Vanderbilt held the team lead at -15, while Wake Forest stood in second at -4. Arizona State (+3), Auburn (+6) and Clemson (+15) rounded out the top-five leaders.
Making her collegiate debut this weekend, freshman Hannah Screen was tied for 41st at +7, while senior Yuka Kajiki was tied for 56th at +12. Senior Tatiana Pineda and junior Amanda Elich were tied for 64th at +15.
Vanderbilt's Abbey Carlson held the individual lead at -13 to stand two strokes in front of Wake Forest's Emilia Migliaccio. Siyun Liu (Wake Forest) was in third at -9 with Arizona's Olivia Mehaffey in fourth at -5.
