STILLWATER, Okla. -- University of Houston junior Leonie Harm stood in a tie for 13th with a score of 1-over 145 following the Second Round of the NCAA Championships at Karsten Creek Golf Club.
Harm stood at even par through the first 16 holes but endured a double bogey on No. 17 on the way to a 74 in Saturday's play. Starting the Second Round off No. 1 on the 6,328-yard course, she drained eight straight pars before sinking a birdie on the 490-yard, par-5 ninth hole to close out her first nine.
The Gerlingen, Germany, native began her second nine with three straight pars and rose as high as a tie for fourth in the individual standings before enduring a bogey on the par-4 13th hole.
Following three straight more pars, Harm endured a double-bogey 6 on the par-4 17th hole before capping Saturday's play with a par on No. 18.
Wake Forest's Jennifer Kupcho, Bianca Pagdanganan of Arizona and Alabama's Cheyenne Knight held the second-day lead at 5-under 139. UCLA's Lillia Vu stood in fourth at 140, while Patty Tavatanakit (UCLA) and Florida State teammates Morgane Metraux and Kim Metraux were tied for fifth at 142.
UCLA held the team lead at 573 to finish the Second Round five strokes ahead of No. 1 Alabama. No. 6 USC (589), No. 9 Arizona (592), No. 13 Northwestern (592), No. 21 Florida State (595), No. 16 Kent State (595) and No. 4 Duke (596) wrapped up the Top-8 team leaders.
All teams and individuals will compete in 54 holes of stroke play through Sunday.
From there, the Top-15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team will compete in the final 18 holes of stroke play on Monday to determine the NCAA individual national champion and the Top-8 teams that will advance to match play.

PAIRINGS
For Sunday's Third Round, Harm will compete in a group with Tennessee's Micheala Williams and Oklahoma State's Emma Broze. That group will start off No. 10 at 8:25 a.m., Sunday.
ABOUT Leonie Harm
Harm, the 2018 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, earned her place in the nation's premier collegiate event with a record-setting performance in the NCAA Austin Regional Final Round on May 9.
She drained six birdies with an eagle during the final 18 holes on the way to a school-record 65 to move into a three-woman playoff for the final two individual spots out of the Austin Regional. After nearly two extra hours of play, Harm clinched her place with a par on the seventh playoff hole.
Harm, who stands at No. 32 in the latest Golfstat individual rankings, leads the Cougars in 2017-18 with a 72.71 scoring average and 16 rounds of par or better. She has earned Top-7 finishes in each of her last four tournaments, including a second-place showing at the LSU Tiger Classic on March 23-25.
Harm first competed at the NCAA Championships in 2016. Qualifying out of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional after tying for seventh, she became the first Cougar to compete at the NCAA Championships and tied for 81st with a score of 224.
She is the Cougars' career leader in stroke average at 73.04 and holds the school single-season record with a 72.70 mark in 2016-17. Harm became only the second student-athlete in program history to compete in 3+ NCAA Regionals during her career.
In addition to her work on the course, Harm is a two-time member of the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and was a 2016-17 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar. A biochemistry major, she is poised to collect both honors again for the 2017-18 season in the near future.
