SPRING, Texas -- University of Houston sophomore Pryce Beshoory posted a round in the 60s for the third straight round to captured medalist honor for the first collegiate title of his career with a score of 12-under 204 at the Colin Montgomerie Invitational.
Competing on the 7,067-yard, par-72 course at Augusta Pine Golf Club, Beshoory drained six birdies in Tuesday' round on the way to a 68. The Pearland, Texas, native opened the tournament with 69-67 on Monday.
Starting the day on No. 15, Beshoory made three straight pars before draining three straight birdie on No. 18 and Nos. 1-2. Following four more pars, he made birdie on the par-4 seventh hole before enduring back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 8-9.
