SAN ANTONIO, Texas – With temperatures in the mid-40s with a 15 mph north wind and rain on Tuesday, the Second Round of the Maryb S Kauth Invitational was cancelled.
The tournament will be shortened to 36 holes with the Final Round teeing off at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, with a shotgun start.
The Cougars posted a score of 3-under 285 to tie with Marshall for second following Sunday's First Round. TCU held the First-Round lead at 279 with Tennessee (288), UTSA (291), North Texas (298), Oral Roberts (300), UAB (310) and UIW (313) rounding out the field.
Senior All-American Leonie Harm and junior Amanda Elich each posted 69s Sunday to tie for fourth. Senior Maddy Rayner stood in sixth with a 2-under 70.
Freshman Hannah Screen was tied for 20th at 73. Senior and two-time All-American Athletic Conference performer Yuka Kajiki was tied for 24h at 74. Making her collegiate debut, freshman Maria Jose Martinez was tied for 36th with a 78.
Marshall's Kerri Parks held the First-Round lead with a 67. TCU teammates Annika Clark and Sabrina Iqbal were tied for second with 68.
For the Cougars, this was the second straight tournament in which they competed, which was shortened due to weather. The season-opening Mason Rudolph Championships in Franklin Tenn., on Sept. 21-23 also was shortened to 36 holes due to rain.

FINAL-ROUND PAIRINGS
Tuesday's Final Round begins with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start The Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from TCU and Marshall.
Harm begins the day off No. 1 with Elich (No. 2), Screen (No. 3), Kajiki (No. 4) and Martinez (No. 5) following.
UP NEXT
Following the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational, the Cougars will tee off at the Jim West Challenge at Kissing Tree Golf Course in San Marcos, Texas, on Oct. 28-29.
From there, Houston will close out the fall campaign at the Baylor Invitational. That three-day, 54-hole tournament begins Nov. 2 at Club Campestre in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
