BASEBALL
Notes
Houston Baseball opened fall team practice this week … The program is coming off a 42-21 campaign in 2017, winning the American Athletic Confenference Regular-Season and Tournament Championships as well as hosting a soldout NCAA Regional at Schroeder Park.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Last Week
Houston Men's Basketball released its full 2017-18 schedule with 15 home games in the city of Houston.

Season tickets for the 2017-18 campaign are on sale for fans … To enjoy 15 regular-season home games, fans can purchase Reserved season tickets for $200, while General Admission tickets are available for only $100 at … Current season-ticket holders can visit and follow the appropriate links to renew their season tickets online at any time … As the former Hofheinz Pavilion is transformed into the $60-million Fertitta Center, the Cougars will play all of their 2017-18 home games inside Health & PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University.
CROSS COUNTRY
Last Week
Senior distance runner Brian Barraza made his return to the cross country course with an impressive win at the Texas A&M Invitational, while the Cougar Men's and Women's teams finished fifth and seventh, respectively, on Saturday at Watts Cross Country Course.

Barraza ran 23:51.5 to secure his first win, and the team's second top individual victory of the season … G.J. Reyna continued his impressive start to the season with another top-20 finish … A week after winning the Rice Invitational, Reyna crossed the line in 24:39.7 to finish 19th … The Cougar men finished fifth overall as a team with 137 points … On the women's side, Jennifer Dunlap made her season debut while finishing as the Cougars' top finisher in the meet … Dunlap crossed the line in 21:56.9 to finish 24th with Meredith Sorensen finishing right on her heels in 25th at 21:57.6 … The Cougar women finished seventh overall as a team with 198 points … For complete results, click here.
FOOTBALL

Houston Football saw its nation-leading, 16-game home win streak end in a 27-24 loss to Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon at TDECU Stadium.

At Tulsa, Selena Peters (7', 82') registered her fifth and sixth goals of the season, while Kaitlyn Wild (61') recorded her second … At Memphis, Mia Brascia (34') recorded her second goal of the season.

Nicolaou booked a slot in the flight seven finals with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Carrie Casey (SHSU) … In the finals, she defeated Haruka Sasaki (UNT), 6-2, 6-1 … The victory gave Nicolaou a perfect 3-0 record in her first fall tournament with the Cougars … Tsveta Dimitrova and Laura Bernardos each went 2-1, while Sveva Mazzari and Lauren Alter posted one win, respectively.

At Tulsa, sophomore outside hitter Megan Duncan posted her first double-double of the season and second of her career behind a 10-kill, 15-dig effort … At SMU, freshman setter Abby Irvine recorded 18 assists and 10 digs for her team-leading third double-double of the season … Houston leads The American and ranks 11th in the country in service aces per set (1.77) and 22nd in opponent hitting percentage (.150) … Sophomore libero Katie Karbo leads the league and ranks 14th in the NCAA in digs per set (5.64) … Karbo (0.36) and senior outside hitter Sarah Afflerbaugh (0.35) rank fifth and sixth in The American in aces per set.
