MEN'S BASKETBALL
Last Week
Houston Men's Basketball released its full 2017-18 schedule with 15 home games in the city of Houston.
Notes
The Cougars will face Cincinnati, ECU, SMU, Temple, Tulane, USF and Wichita State in home-and-away games during the regular season … Houston will compete against UConn and Tulsa at home while facing UCF and Memphis in away contests only … Renovations continue on the $60-million project, which is transforming Hofheinz Pavilion into the Fertitta Center … The renovation was made possible by a generous $20 million donation from UH System Board of Regents Chairman Tilman J. Fertitta and his family with the facility opening for the 2018-19 season … Of their 15 home contests, the Cougars will compete in 13 inside Health & PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University … Home sites against new American Athletic Conference rival Wichita State (Jan. 20) and UConn (March 4) are still to be determined and will be announced in the near future … For the full schedule click here … Season tickets for the 2017-18 campaign are on sale for fans … To enjoy 15 regular-season home games, fans can purchase Reserved season tickets for $200, while General Admission tickets are available for only $100 at … Current season-ticket holders can visit and follow the appropriate links to renew their season tickets online at any time.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Last Week
Houston Women's Basketball released its 2017-18 American Athletic Conference schedule. In addition, Head Coach Ronald Hughey announced the hiring of Edsel Hamilton as the Director of Operations and Charley Ochoa as the Video Coordinator for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

The Cougars will host Wichita State (Jan. 2), Cincinnati (Jan. 10), UConn (Jan. 13), SMU (Jan. 27), Tulane (Jan. 31), Memphis (Feb. 7), ECU (Feb. 17) and UCF (Feb. 24) … Road games in The American include trips to SMU (Dec. 30), Tulane (Jan. 6), Temple (Jan. 16), ECU (Jan. 20), Wichita State (Feb. 3), Tulsa (Feb. 10), USF (Feb. 21) and Cincinnati (Feb. 26) … For the full schedule click here … As the former Hofheinz Pavilion is transformed into the $60-million Fertitta Center, the Cougars will play all of their 2017-18 home games inside Health & PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University … Hamilton joins the Cougars from East Texas Baptist University, where he served as the program's head coach … With the Tigers, Hamilton led the squad to a 17-win season in 2015-16, the most the program had seen in eight years, and a berth in the ASC Tournament Semifinals … Ochoa joins the women's team after spending the previous two seasons in the same role with the Houston Men's Basketball team … Ochoa, a 2009 graduate of UNLV, will handle all duties involving video production as well as any video needs of the Houston Women's Basketball staff.

FOOTBALL
Last Week
Houston Football opened its 2017 home schedule with a 38-3 win over Rice in the Bayou Bucket Game on Saturday. The Cougars improved to 2-0 on the season as Head Coach Major Applewhite won his first game at TDECU Stadium.

WOMEN'S GOLF
Last Week
Houston junior Leonie Harm fired a five-under 211 to lead Houston Women's Golf with a tie for 14th place as the Cougars finished 10th at the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club over the weekend.

Harm carded a season-low 67 during the final round on the 6,335-yard, par-72 layout … With her performance, she now owns five of the six lowest rounds in Houston Women's Golf history … Megan Thothong tied for 22nd with a 213 … Courtney Tibiletti (223), Ivon Reijers (224) and Yuka Kajiki (235) rounded out the Cougar lineup finishing with shares of 57th, 59th and 75th overall … For full results click here.

Against New Mexico, Margo McEntire (21') recorded her first goal of the season, while Selena Peters (71') tallied her third goal of the season … The Cougars recorded their first road win of the year with a 3-1 decision at New Mexico State … Hannah Dauzat picked up her fourth and fifth goal of the season, finding the back of net in the 59th and 61st minute before Peters capped the match with a goal in the 80th minute … Dauzat and Peters were each named to The American Weekly Honor Roll.

Against Prairie View A&M, sophomore outside hitter Megan Duncan recorded a match-high 10 kills, while sophomore libero Katie Karbo recorded a match-high 21 digs … The two sophomores again led all players at LSU with Duncan recording nine kills and Karbo totaling 16 digs … Houston ranks eight in the nation with 1.84 aces per set … The Cougars also rank 23rd in the country with a .145 opponent hitting percentage … Karbo ranks second in the American Athletic Conference with 5.50 average digs per set.
