Ryan Lafferty to Perform at Cage Rage

HOUSTON â€" Cage Rage presented by Bud Light, continued to grow Wednesday as Nashville recording artist Ryan Lafferty will perform in concert at the event.
The UH preseason pep rally that is free and open to the public, takes the Houston Football program one day closer to its season opener, returns to TDECU Stadium Friday, Aug. 25, at 7:30 p.m.

Fans attending the event will also hear from Houston Football Head Coach Major Applewhite and Vice President for Athletics Hunter Yurachek prior to receiving a first glimpse of the 2017 intro video.
With both Spirit of Houston and Lafferty, who has toured with Hunter Hayes and released the 6-song EP The Half of It in May 2016, scheduled to perform, Houston fans will not want to miss the event that will be capped at 9 p.m. with a fireworks show.
ICON Gate 2 will serve as the event's entrance and will open at 7 p.m. Concessions with food and beer, including Bud Light, The Official Beer of Houston Athletics, will be setup for fans as will a GIF photo booth for fans to take pictures and share on social media their excitement about the upcoming season. Once posted to social, the fan will receive a 20% off coupon for use at TDECU Stadium garage location of Fanatics, The Official Team Shop of Houston Athletics, for the remainder of August.
Prior to entry, fans can enjoy three co-branded Coca-Cola inflatables and take photos with the new Cougar statue outside of ICON Gate 2 along with the Bill Yeoman statue outside of Schroeder Gate 1. Fans may also view the H-Town tailgating option available this season through Tailgate USA outside of ICON Gate 2 from 6-7:30 p.m.
The Houston Athletics Ticket Office will remain open from 5-7:30 p.m. with representatives available to take season ticket orders at the windows and on the concourse inside ICON Gate 2.
Cougar Pride members at the All-American Club Level ($1,000-$2,499) and up are invited to a special Cougar Pride Kickoff Event from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Cougar Club. Complimentary food provide by BB's Café as well as a cash bar will be available at the event. Check-in for the event takes place in the Dan and Beth Bellow Club Entrance.
