Junior Megan Thothong posted the team's low round of the day with a 74 on the 6,416-yard, par-72 Scarlet Course at Ohio State Golf Club. The Dallas native led Houston with five birdies in the Second Round, including three during her final three holes of the day to move into a tie for 46th at 155.

No. 4 Florida continued to hold the team lead with a score of 590 but saw its advantage slip to only one stroke over 29th-ranked and host Ohio State. No. 5 Florida State (597), No. 12 South Carolina (598), No. 33 Michigan (605) and No. 27 Purdue (607) stood just above the cut line.
No. 21 Texas A&M (609), No. 13 Arkansas (610), No. 20 Colorado (612), No. 37 San Jose State (614) and No. 46 Louisville (614) rounded out the top-11 teams.
