SUNSET, S.C. â€" University of Houston stars Allie Andersen and Leonie Harm finished among the top-eight leaders following the Final Round of the Clemson Invitational on Sunday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.
Andersen posted the team's low round for the second time in the last three days with a 70 and tied for fifth at 5-under 211, while Harm posted an even-par 72 on the 6,260-yard course to tie for eighth at 215.
The Cougars posted a team score of 295 on Sunday and finished eighth with a three-day total of 881.
Starting on No. 1, Andersen began her Final Round on a strong note, sinking a birdie on the 398-yard, par-4 hole. She added another birdie on No. 4 and moved to 3-under with her final birdie of the tournament on the seventh hole.
A native of The Woodlands, Texas, Andersen made bogey on No. 9 and closed out the tournament with nine straight pars.
With her performance, Andersen posted a career-low tournament score, besting her previous total of 213, set most recently at the Jim West Challenge (Oct. 9-10, 2016). With her 69 in the First Round, she tied her best 18-hole total and enjoyed her best finish as a Cougar after transferring from Colorado State.
Harm who is ranked No. 90 in the latest Golfstat national rankings, was steady throughout Sunday's Final Round with a pair of birdies and enjoyed her fourth top-10 finish of the season.
Junior Ivon Reijers tied for 48th at 225, while junior Courtney Tibiletti tied for 78th at 232 with junior Megan Thothong checking in at 81st with a score of 233.
No. 6 Florida State captured the team championship with a score of 856. No. 8 Furman finished second at 856 with No. 5 Florida ranking third at 857. No. 21 Texas (864), Michigan State (869), No. 24 Oklahoma (872) and No. 32 Tennessee (877) rounded out the top seven with No. 42 Clemson (882) and No. 30 Ohio State completing the top 10.
Individually, Florida's Matilda Castren earned medalist honors at 9-under 207. Texas' Sophia Schubert, Florida's Maria Torres and Furman's Alice Chen tied for second at 209.

Following the Clemson Invitational, the Cougars enter the postseason when they compete at the American Athletic Conference Championships on The Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Golf & Spa Resort on April 16-18.
The Cougars look to defend their title from a year ago, the first in the program's young history.
