HOUSTON -- Houston offensive coordinator Brian Johnson has left the Houston program to take the quarterbacks coach position at the University of Florida. A statement from Houston head coach Major Applewhite is below.

"We wish Brian well on his future as he reunites with coach Dan Mullen. Houston is a great program to be at and we have a short list of potential coaches in the event we have an opening. We've already started the process and appreciate Brian's efforts."
