Forward Fabian White Jr. and Devin Davis each posted double-doubles against UIW ... White posted 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Davis collected 10 points and 10 buckets, respectively ... For his efforts, White was named The American Rookie of the Week ... The two were part of six Cougars to score in double digits led by seniors Rob Gray and Wes VanBeck who each accounted for 16 points ... Junior guard Corey Davis Jr. chipped in 14 points with a game-high seven assists, while sophomore guard Armoni Brooks added 10 to round out Houston's double-digit scorers ... It was the first time the Cougars had six double-digit scorers since a 106-59 win against Louisiana College on Nov. 19, 2010 ... The 39-point win marked the sixth win of at least 30 points during the last three seasons and the fifth-largest winning margin in the Kelvin Sampson era ... Season tickets for the 2017-18 campaign are on sale for fans ... Fans can purchase Reserved season tickets for $200, while General Admission tickets are available for only $100 at uhcougars.com/tickets ... As the former Hofheinz Pavilion is transformed into the $60-million Fertitta Center, the Cougars will play their 2017-18 home games inside Health & PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Houston Women's Basketball posted a 2-1 record in Massachusetts. The Cougars fell 79-74 at Boston College before posting consecutive come-from-behind victories over Liberty, 75-68, and Northeaster, 72-64, in the UMASS Thanksgiving Classic.

Against Boston College, sophomore guard Jasmyne Harris led the Cougars with 21 points and 10 rebounds for her third career double-double ... Sophomore guard Angela Harris finished with 18 points, while Serithia Hawkins added a career-high 17 points while pulling down seven rebounds ... Junior Octavia Barnes also reached double figures for Houston with 10 points ... Against Liberty, Houston erased a 10-point halftime deficit ... Angela Harris recorded 20 points ... Hawkins finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for her 13th career double-double ... Against Northeastern, the Cougars again erased a double-digit deficit ... Angela Harris recorded a career-high 25 points, while Jasmyne Harris added 17 points and six rebounds.
FOOTBALL

Houston Football improved to 7-4 on the season and 5-3 in The American with a 24-14 victory over Navy at TDECU Stadium.

A Nagurski Trophy and Outland Trophy finalist, sophomore defensive end Ed Oliver recorded a career-high 14 tackles, while tying his career highs with 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks ... With 14 tackles, Oliver recorded his second double-digit tackle performance and seventh with at least five tackles on the the season ... For his effort, Oliver was named The American Defensive Player of the Week ... Sophomore quarterback D'Eriq King recorded two rushing touchdown for the third time in his career, all coming in the last four games ... King also finished 21-for-27 passing for 277 yards and one touchdown, recording career highs in both completions and attempts ... Senior wide receiver Steven Dunbar finished with 142 yards and one touchdown on eight receptions ... The 100-yard receiving game is Dunbar's third of the season, including Houston's last two home games, and sixth overall of his career ... Houston Women's Tennis announced its 2018 spring competition schedule, which includes 13 matches inside Winston Tennis Facility.

The Cougars will open the spring slate with a six-match homestand, starting with Lamar on Jan. 21 ... Houston will also host A&M-Corpus Christi (Jan. 26), Sam Houston State (Jan. 28), UIW (Jan. 28), Southern (Feb. 3) and Prairie View A&M (Feb. 3) during the homestand ... The indoor slate will see the Cougars host the Leonard Hilton Invitational (Jan. 12), Houston Invitational (Jan. 26-27) and the Howie Ryan Invitational (Feb. 9) inside Yeoman Fieldhouse, while the outdoor slate features the Cougar Spring Break Invitational (March 15), Houston Alumni Invitational (April 7) and the Tom Tellez Invitational (May 4) ... Houston Volleyball closed the 2017 season with 3-1 and 3-2 victories over Tulane.

Sophomore libero Katie Karbo was named to the American Athletic Weekly Honor Roll on Monday ... Last week, she averaged 22.5 digs per match with 23 on Wednesday and 22 on Friday ... Karbo contributed to the offense with at least eight assists and one service ace in each win ... Against Tulane, freshman Abby Irvine finished with 22 assists and 10 digs in a double-double effort ... Sophomore outside hitter Megan Duncan finished with 14 kills, coincidentally her 14th time to lead the team on the season ... Redshirt junior middle blocker Chenelle Walker tied her career-high with nine blocks (three solo, six assisted) ... Her nine blocks also tie senior middle blocker Brianna Gardner, who recorded nine blocks (one solo, eight assisted) against Stetson in the team's home opener on Sept. 8 as part of the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup, for the most recorded in a match on the season with both coming in four-set matches ... At Tulane, Irvine posted her team-leading 11th double-double in a 25-assist, 15-dig effort ... Senior outside hitter Sarah Afflerbaugh recorded her eighth double-double of the season and 15th overall of her career in a 14-kill, 12-dig effort ... Afflerbaugh's 14 kills marked her fourth time to lead the team on the season ... Senior Keandra McCardell recorded her fourth double-double of the season and 33rd overall of her career in a 18-assist, 13-dig effort ... The victory marked the final match for five Houston players -- Afflerbaugh, Gardner, Brianna Lynch, McCardell and Kendall Montgomery ... McCardell finishes her career ranked fifth all-time with 3,046 assists and the all-time leader in the rally-scoring era.
