Applewhite Press Conference Set for Monday

HOUSTON -- The leader of the #HTownTakeover's offense the past two years, Major Applewhite will be officially introduced as Houston Football's 14th head coach in a press conference Monday at 1 p.m. inside TDECU Stadium's Cougar Club.
Houston Athletics is inviting all Cougar Pride members to help congratulate Applewhite and his family on the selection. Fans interesting in joining Cougar Pride and attending the event can do so at UHCougarPride.com.

Monday's event will feature remarks from University of Houston President Renu Khator, University of Houston Board of Regents Chairman Tilman J. Fertitta, Vice President for Athletics Hunter Yurachek and Applewhite along with a question-and-answer session with the media. Parking for the event will be located in lot 12A on the south side of TDECU Stadium.

In addition to Monday's press conference, Applewhite will also join Adam Clanton and Sean Jones on SportsTalk 790 AM immediately following the press conference. The new Houston coach will also make appearances on the Russillo & Kanell Show on ESPN Radio (exact time to be announced Monday), the Doug Gottlieb Show on CBS Radio (4 p.m. CT), Sirius XM Radio with Christ Spatola (exact time to be announced Monday) and on Sportscenter at 5:15 p.m. CT.
