DALLAS â€" The University of Houston Women's Golf program closes out its fall schedule this week when it tees off at the Trinity Forest Invitational presented by Vic Salvino, starting Monday morning.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament begins with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start Monday with 36 holes scheduled for the first day on the 6,246-yard, par-72 course at Trinity Forest Golf Club. The tournament wraps up with the final 18 holes with 8:30 a.m., shotgun start Tuesday.
Houston will compete against an elite field, which includes seven of the nation's top-50 teams. The Cougars face No. 21 Baylor, No. 22 Texas A&M, No. 25 Ohio State, No. 30 Texas Tech, No. 45 Kansas State, No. 46 Michigan, Kansas, Memphis, UTSA, Tulsa, UNLV, Mississippi State and host and 32nd-ranked SMU.

Emily Gilbreth â€" Leads Cougars with 72.56 average and tied for second with three rounds of par or better in 2016-17… Competed as individual at Bearkat Invitational on Oct. 3-4… Led the Cougars and finished third at that event with career-low score of 2-under 211… Tied a school record with a 68 in the Second Round… Lone senior and three-year letterman on 2016-17 team… One of the first four members of Houston Women's Golf after joining team in 2013-14… Native of Bellaire, Texas, and product of Bellaire High School.
Allie Andersen â€" Second on team with 73.56 average but leads the Cougars with four rounds of par or better… Fired three straight rounds of par or better to lead the Cougars and tie for 11th at the Jim West Challenge on Oct. 9-10 at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas… Joined Cougars in 2016-17 after competing for first two years at Colorado State… Native of The Woodlands, and product of The Woodlands High School.
Ivon Reijers â€" 74.89 average and second on team with three rounds of par or better in 2016-17… Made her collegiate debut at season-opening Mason Rudolph Championships on Sept. 16-18… Opened and closed that tournament with even-par rounds of 72… Joined Cougars at semester break in January but sat out 2016 spring season as redshirt… Native of Barcelona and product of Maristes and Redlands Community College.
Kelli Rollo â€" 74.83 average… Tied for eighth at the Bearkat Invitational on Oct. 3-4 at Raven Nest Golf Club in Huntsville, Texas… Opened that tournament with a career-best 72… One of the first four members of Houston Women's Golf after joining team in 2013-14… Native of Mont Belvieu, Texas, and product of Barbers Hill High School.
Amanda Elich â€" Making her collegiate debut this week… Multiple All-State and All-Conference honoree during her high school career… During summer, finished second at Future Collegians World Tour Classic and captured medalist honors at FCWT Classic at PGA West Stadium. Native of West Linn, Ore., and product of West Linn High School.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars lowered their team score with each round on the way to an 11th-place finish at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club on Oct. 23-25 in San Antonio, Texas.
Andersen posted a score of 219 to lead the Cougars for the second straight tournament and tie for 26th.
UP NEXT
With the completion of the Trinity Forest Invitational presented by Vic Salvino, the Cougars wrap up their 2016 fall season.
The team returns to action Feb. 19-21 when they open play at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans.
