Statoil Named Official Partner of Houston Athletics

HOUSTON – Houston fans will see a new presence from international energy company Statoil around the University of Houston campus, as Houston-based company has signed on as an official partner of Houston Athletics through IMG, the official rights holder of UH Athletics.
In addition to its partnership with Houston Athletics, Statoil will also sponsor the Cougar STEM Camp, managed by the University of Houston’s College of Natural Science and Mathematics, and the University of Houston Alumni Association’s Cougar 100 event.
“Statoil is delighted to partner with the University of Houston and the UH Energy and Cougar STEM Camp,” says Abigail Peterson, Head of Brand & Marketing Communications, Statoil US. “Our company has a long history of working with academic institutions to further innovation and foster a love for STEM curriculum. We look forward to deepening our relationship with UH through the UH Energy initiative.”
Statoil will be a presenting sponsor of a Houston Football home game in 2017 and will educate fans throughout the season with video board features focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Statoil will also receive an interactive wallscape located on the main concourse of TDECU Stadium.
