HOUSTON - Houston Athletics announced Monday a partnership with Houston-based social media app FanReact, an emerging sports social media app that hosts a fan message board, videos and exclusive content from the UH Athletic Department.
With the partnership, FanReact will serve as the department's Official Fan Experience App. Its purpose is to offer students and alumni an additional avenue for UH news, coach & player interviews, practice insights and game day videos and pictures. FanReact will also have links to Cougars merchandise, tickets and schedules as well as serve as a message board with exclusive fan generated content in an effort to connect fans of Houston athletics and beyond.
"Enhancing the fan experience is at the very core of what we do, said Chris Buckner, Co-Founder and CMO of FanReact. "Whether in the stands or at home, Houston fans will love instantly interacting with one another while cheering the Cougars on to victory."
Founded in 2014 by Friendish L.L.C, Texas based FanReact is among the fastest growing social media applications on the market. In addition to garnering Five-Star ratings on Google Play and Apple's App Store, FanReact has earned numerous glowing reviews including AppPicker and FeedMyApp.
In 2015, Yahoo! Sports Radio launched the FanReact radio hour. The show provides fans another outlet to discuss the hottest topics on the app's message boards. The show has been an overwhelming success since its debut in May.
"We couldn't be happier with our association with FanReact, said Craig Larson, COO and Program Director of Yahoo! Sports Radio. "Their impact across the college and pro sports landscape is undeniable. I think the University of Houston will have a great partner for years to come."
