UH Chooses Ticketmaster as Exclusive Ticket Solutions Provider

HOUSTON - The University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has selected Ticketmaster as its exclusive ticketing solutions provider as the department continues to prepare for the upcoming 2015-16 athletics and academic year.
With the switch to Ticketmaster, the University of Houston is able to offer its fans and ticket buyers an improved online user experience, interactive ticket maps and a dedicated account manager system among other improvements.
"In our commitment to the fan experience and the ticket purchasing experience of our supporters, it was imperative to partner with an organization that simplified the customer experience," said Houston Associate Athletics Director/Chief Revenue Officer Brooke Smoley. "Having operated with Ticketmaster in the past, we are aware of the firm's capabilities and look forward to our dedicated fans experiencing the same."

Houston becomes the 70th FBS program to partner with Ticketmaster, who is also the exclusive ticketing partner for 28 of the FBS Bowl Games including the College Football Playoff, as well as numerous collegiate performing arts divisions.
"We are excited to welcome the University of Houston to our expanding roster of collegiate client partners," said Clay Luter, Senior Vice President of Stadium and College Sports, Ticketmaster. "Ticketmaster's comprehensive suite of ticketing, marketing and data solutions will enable UH to deliver the highest level of service and protection to their fans. Our integrated mobile and digital ticketing options enable arts and sports fans to conveniently purchase event tickets â€" and to easily and securely transfer or resell their tickets if they are unable to attend an event."
The switch to Ticketmaster is the latest fan experience improvement announced by UH Athletics this week, joining the Fan Experience Headquarters announcement last Monday and the Houston Cougars Fan Experience Committee announcement last Tuesday.
Houston fans will have the opportunity to visit the Houston Athletics Fan Experience Headquarters Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. â€" 5:30 p.m., and during home game days at hours to be announced, at Gate 1 of TDECU Stadium. Visitors to the Fan Experience Headquarters during non-event days will have the opportunity to tour TDECU Stadium and experience the views from seats available to purchase. Houston fans will also have the access to a personal dedicated phone extension and a member retention specialist to handle renewals.

Houston fans can connect with Fan Experience Headquarters by phone, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at 713-462-6647 and can purchase tickets online 24/7 at UHCougars.com/tickets.
The Houston Cougars Fan Experience Committee is designed to provide Houston fans a voice in how the fan experience can be improved and how fans are affected by the current fan experience.
Throughout the 2014-15 year, Houston Athletics partnered with Lancaster Market Intelligence to survey Houston Football season ticket members with fan experience changes occurring for the 2015-16 year based off the survey results. With the creation of the Houston Cougars Fan Experience Committee, fans will always have a voice!
Houston fans interested in joining the committee, should submit their information at UHCougars.com/fans. Members will be asked to serve a two-year term with quarterly meetings on or around the UH campus.
Houston Athletics will be releasing new information on changes to the fan experience at home events over the next six weeks. Check UHCougars.com for updates throughout the summer and leading up to kickoff.
