Houston Memorabilia Auction Starts on Signing Day

HOUSTON - The University of Houston's Department of Athletics it will hold an online auction for four pieces of autographed Houston memorabilia and five unique UH experiences beginning 8 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4, on UHCougars.com/auction. The auction will close at 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Cougar Pride and student-athlete scholarships.

Fans who win the experience auctions will receive access inside the Houston Football program like no other. The first experience will occur on Saturday, April 18, when an auction winner will have the opportunity to call the first offensive play of Houston's spring game. The winner and guest will join the team at TDECU Stadium for pregame warmups before meeting with offensive coordinator Major Applewhite to help select the game's first offensive play.
A pair of field passes for the 2015 Houston Football Spring Game on Saturday, April 18, are also up for grab in the online auction.
Early August will mark the next experience as one lucky auction winner and a guest will go behind the scenes of the 2015 Houston Football Media Day. The winner will have their video board headshot taken and will take a newcomer photo with head coach Tom Herman before sitting in on Herman's first press conference of the 2015 season. Exact date TBA.
Two other auction winners will win a pair of pregame field passes to a Houston home game of their choice this fall.
One auction winner, along with a guest, will be the guests of Houston Athletics for the Sept. 26 home game vs. Texas State in the Houston Athletics suite. The winner and guest will enjoy complimentary food and drink along with a visit from Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades. The winner will also receive a reserved parking pass for the game. All experience winners and guests must be at least 18.

A UH Nike football autographed by new head coach Tom Herman along with a ball autographed by the 2014 Armed Forces Bowl Champions are up for bid beginning Wednesday morning. Cougar fans can also bid on UH Nike balls autographed by the entire 2015 team and a ball autographed by the 2015 signing class.
